Description
Maya is a nightgown with a beautiful fullness, calf-length, raglan balloon sleeves gathered above the elbow, and a flat collar handmade using the smocking technique.
The embroidery on gathers creates small, regular pleats that give the collar its structure, breathability, and comfort. Mother-of-pearl buttons fasten the front all the way down. One size fits all. Volume is the design choice; generosity is its standard.
The cotton voile is block-printed in Rajasthan, with each pattern hand-carved into a wooden block, and each print applied one by one to the fabric. The designs draw from the Mughal ornamental repertoire. The fabric, initially slightly textured, softens with each wash. The collar is embroidered with contrasting thread, and the armholes are finished with a hand-stitched crossed blanket stitch.
Made in family workshops in India, where artisanal craftsmanship is passed down through generations, Maya brings together engraving, inking, printing, sewing, and embroidery in a single garment, with each step meticulously executed.

Designed in Paris, our cottons are woven, printed, and embroidered by hand between the south of the Indian peninsula and Rajasthan.
They were conceived and designed with love and respect for the gestures, the families who produce them, and ancestral traditions. A love story between croissant and paratha, pot-au-feu and butter chicken, Paris and New Delhi.
