Description
The Sara is a nightgown that takes shape from embroidery. A bodice crafted by hand using the smocking technique, where the fabric is embroidered over gathers to create small, even pleats that shape the bust without underwire, relying solely on the tension of the thread and cotton. The straps are adjustable. The length falls below the knee. There are no sleeves or buttons. Beneath the bodice, the volume is generous, the silhouette free.
Smocking is functional before it is decorative. The pleats allow the cotton to breathe, providing comfort and airflow where the fabric touches the skin. The cotton is woven on mechanized looms in India, the yarns carefully selected to give the fabric a natural irregularity.

Designed in Paris, our cottons are woven, printed, and embroidered by hand between the south of the Indian peninsula and Rajasthan.
They were conceived and designed with love and respect for the gestures, the families who produce them, and ancestral traditions. A love story between croissant and paratha, pot-au-feu and butter chicken, Paris and New Delhi.
