Sara night dress indigo
Sara night dress indigo
Description
The Sara is a nightgown that takes shape from embroidery. A bustier hand-worked using the smock technique, where the fabric is embroidered on gathers to create small, regular pleats that shape the bust without underwire, solely by the tension of the thread and cotton. The straps are adjustable. The length falls below the knee. No sleeves, no buttons. Below the bustier, the volume is generous, the silhouette free.
Smocking is functional before being ornamental. The pleats allow the cotton to follow the breath, providing comfort and air circulation where the fabric touches the skin. The cotton is woven on mechanized artisanal looms in India, the threads carefully selected to give the fabric a natural irregularity.
Here, Camille is 1.80m tall and wears one size.

Our History
Scarlette Ateliers is a design and publishing house specializing in home linens. and nightwear.
Designed in Paris, our cottons are woven, printed, and embroidered by hand between the south of the Indian peninsula and Rajasthan.
They were conceived and designed with love and respect for the gestures, the families who produce them, and ancestral traditions. A love story between croissant and paratha, pot-au-feu and butter chicken, Paris and New Delhi.
