Description
Dona is a generously proportioned nightgown; calf-length, loose-fitting, with short, ruffled sleeves and a hand-smocked collar. The fabric is embroidered with gathered pleats in a contrasting thread, creating small, even folds that flatter the bust. It slips on over the head, without buttons or closures. One size fits all. The silhouette is loose, flowing, and functional.
The armholes are finished with a cross-stitch, hand-embroidered for a neat, artisanal touch. The cotton is woven on mechanized looms in India, the yarns carefully selected to give the fabric a natural irregularity.
