Description
Sofia is a voluminous short pajama set. Loose and generous, it is designed for uncompromising comfort. The top slips on without buttons, and the collar is hand-smocked: embroidery on gathers that creates small, regular pleats, providing structure, breathability, and suppleness where the fabric meets the skin.
The short sleeves end in a ruffle. The shorts are high-waisted, with an elasticated waist and a tie, and a loose fit. No pockets, no closures. The silhouette is free and airy.
The smock embroidery is done by hand in a contrasting thread — a meticulous gesture that gives the collar both its structure and its character. The armholes and the bottom of the shorts are finished with a hand-embroidered crossed coverstitch, a finish that is both neat and artisanal. The cotton is woven on artisanal mechanized looms in India, the threads carefully selected to preserve the fabric's irregular grain and lively texture.
